Launchy was made as a small and free program designed to assist you to find and launch Windows programs without getting lost through the Start Menu, desktop icons, and sometimes even through the file manager.
Launchy is an application launcher that works simply, by indexing the software and files in the Start Menu and in this way bringing them closer to you, at one touch of keyboard. It can launch documents, projects, files, directories but also browser bookmarks.
After the start-up, it stays in the background until a hotkey (alt+space) is pressed. Then start typing the name of the program you want to launch and you'll get it. Then make it dormant again by pressing escape or alt+space and let it rest until the next time you need its help to launch a new program.
