RealVNC (Real Virtual Network Computing) is a remote control utility able to work cross-platform. It enables its users to access a personal computer (i.e. "server") using a remote computer which has installed the VNC viewer over the Internet.
The computers may be different regarding both hardware specifications and operating systems enabling you to access and view through RealVNC your Linux machine from the office directly from your Windows computer located at home.
This network and internet desktop sharing software is free and can be used to view the remote computer desktop / screen, access it and work remotely without geographical constraints.
The remote accessing and desktop sharing uses the RFB protocol - a frame buffer system to remotely control another pc.
